THE “Good Son,” the “bad John.”
Mas nalinawan kami ngayon sa ulat kamakailan ng kapwa kolumnistang si Ador Saluta tungkol sa umano’y pagte-take advantage ni John Estrada sa kanyang co-star na si Mylene Dizon sa teleseryeng The Good Son.
In his item (hindi rito sa Bandera), ikinowt ni Ador ang kanyang source pero maingat na nag-iwan siya ng pasintabi na bukas ang kanyang pitak to give way to John’s side.
Kinabukasan, John refuted Ador’s report, short of questioning the latter’s credibility. Isa o dalawang araw after John said his piece, nakumpirma ngang there was a violation on John’s part that led to his removal from the program.
Ibig sabihin, Ador was right all along. And for that, we “adore” as much as we “salute” Ador Saluta.
Well, we’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt, not the doubt more than the benefit.
Except for his bomb joke at the airport, he was never dragged into nasty news.
Ay, meron pala. Noong isang taon ay nakaengkuwentro niya ang isang babaeng teller sa toll gate for failing to pay the fee.
Sa halip na gumawa muna ng incident report ang teller, she chose to take to social media her complaint against the actor. But if her intention was to paint an ugly image of John ay nagtagumpay siya. John was tried by publicity.
Now that John’s character in TGS series had to be killed, ewan what future holds for him. Balitang sasaluhin siya ng GMA, but let’s face it, iba ang level ni John back in his home network, ang ABS-CBN.
Mahusay kasi ang loko, aside of course from the fact that John registers beautifully on screen.
Oo nga’t there’s a willing tagasalo (GMA), but what a stain John has left on the image that his late manager Kuya Douglas Quijano had built for him.
Kumbaga sa isang transferee from another school, hindi maiisyuhan si John ng honorable dismissal.
