Number coding suspendido ngayong Miyerkules dahil sa transport strike
SINUSPINDE ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang number coding ngayong Miyerkules para alalayan ang mga pasahero na mai-stranded sa inaasahang nationwide transport strike.
“To help commuters that might be affected by the transport strike, the UVVRP [Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program] or number coding scheme is suspended tomorrow, Jan. 24, for all vehicles, public and private,” sabi ng MMDA sa isang post nito sa kanyang Twitter account.
Pangungunahan ng Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide (Piston) ang mga kilos protesta para tutulan ang “Tanggal Bulok, Tanggal Usok” na kampanya ng Inter-Agency Council on Traffic (I-Act), na naglalayong linisin ang mga kalye ng Metro Manila mula sa mga mauusok at lumang jeepney bilang bahagi ng smoke-belching modernization program nito.
