MAKUHA ang huling puwesto sa quarterfinals ang pagtatalunan ng Alaska Aces at Globalport Batang Pier sa kanilang 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup knockout game ngayong alas-6:30 ng gabi sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.

Ang magwawagi sa pagitan ng Aces at Batang Pier ang makakasagupa ng top seed at may twice-to-beat advantage na Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings sa kanilang quarterfinals matchup.

Galing ang Alaska sa 102-98 overtime pagkatalo sa Star Hotshots noong Miyerkules at siguradong magpipilit ito na wakasan ang kanilang seven-game losing skid sa pagtutuos nila ng Globalport.

Patuloy na aasahan ni Aces head coach Alex Compton sina Cory Jefferson, Calvin Abueva, Vic Manuel, Chris Banchero, JVee Casio, RJ Jazul, Sonny Thoss at Siverino Baclao para makabalik sa quarterfinal round.

Magmumula naman ang Globalport sa 112-101 kabiguan sa kamay ng San Miguel Beermen nitong Biyernes.

Sasandigan naman ni Batang Pier mentor Franz Pumaren sina Justin Harper, Terrence Romeo, Stanley Pringle, Sean Anthony, JR Quinahan, Niño Canaleta, Bradwyn Guinto at Mike Cortez.

Samantala, makakasagupa ng No. 2 seed at may twice-to-beat incentive na San Miguel Beer ang Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters sa kanilang quarterfinals duel.

Sa best-of-three quarterfinals matchups, makakatapat ng No. 3 seed Star Hotshots ang  Rain or Shine Elasto Painters habang makakatatapat ng No. 4 seed TNT KaTropa Texters ang Meralco Bolts.
