HUMINGI ng paumanhin si Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV kay Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano dahil sa kanyang inasal sa nakaraang pagdinig kaugnay ng umano’y extrajudicial killings sa bansa.
“This is to express my apology for my demeanor during last Thursday’s hearing of the committee on justice and human rights,” sabi ni Trillanes sa isang pahinang sulat kay Cayetano.
Nauna nang nagkainitan sina Trillanes at Cayetano sa nakaraang pagdinig ng Senado matapos namang iprisinita ang umaming dating miyembro ng Davao Death Squad na si Edgar Matobato na nag-aakusa kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nasa likod ng DDS.
“It was brought about because of the intense passion and emotion of the moment. Nonetheless, it was uncalled for,” dagdag ni Trillanes.
Pinatayan ni Trillanes si Cayetao ng mikropono habang nagtatanong kay Matobato.
“Be assured that such incident will not happen again,” ayon pa kay Trillanes.
Inakusahan ni Matobato si Duterte na siyang utak ng pagpapatay ng maraming kriminal at kaaway sa Davao City ng siya pa ang alkalde ng lungsod.
