Take 2: Duterte muling nagdeklara ng ceasefire matapos pangunahan ni Dureza
SA ikalawang pagkakataon, nagdeklara kagabi si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng ceasefire sa New People’s Army (NPA) matapos naman itong bawiin.
“As of today, I am declaring a ceasefire. So I’m joining the Communist Party of the Philippines in its desire to seek peace for this nation,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang press conference sa Davao City.
Ito’y sa kabila naman na nauna nang pinangunahan ni Presidential Adviser ong the Peace Process Jesus Dureza si Duterte nang magdeklara ng tigil-putukan noong Sabado sa kabila ng wala pa palang go-signal sa pangulo.
“Likewise, in the same manner, I am ordering the Armed Forces of the Philippines pati ang Philippine National Police as of today, meron tayong ceasefire. So, we avoid hostile actions against each other,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
Kasabay nito, nanawagan si Duterte sa komunistang grupo, sa mga sundalo at pulis na igalang ang ipinapatupad na ceasefire.
“We cannot be at war at all times. Yung sa generation natin, wala na tayong makita kundi magpapatayan. Sana bago ako umalis sa mundong ito eh magkaroon tayo ng lessening of the hatred of war,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
