Pinaalalahanan ng National Police ang mga pulis at sundalo na bawal nilang kausapin ang sinumang botante sa mga polling center sa araw ng halalan.

“The detailed PNP and AFP security personnel are prohibited from engaging in a conversation with any voter or disturb or prevent or in any manner obstruct the free access of the voters to the polling place,” sabi ng PNP Task Force SAFE sa isang kalatas kahapon.

Sinabi rin ng task force na kailangang lampas 50 metro ang layo sa polling centers ng mga pulis at sundalong magbabantay sa halalan.

“No PNP and AFP personnel shall be allowed to enter or stay inside the polling and canvassing places, except when there is an actual disturbance of the peace and order,” ayon sa task force.

Samantala, inulat ng pulisya na umabot na sa 97.1 porsiyento ng election paraphernalia ang na-deliver sa provincial hubs ng Commission on Elections.

Kabilang sa mga election paraphernalia ang vote counting machines at mga kaakibat nitong gamit.

Ang PNP at AFP ang naatasang magbigay ng seguridad sa pagdadala ng election paraphernalia at mga tauhan ng COMELEC sa iba-ibang bahagi ng bansa bago, habang idinaraos, at pag tapos na ang halalan.
