Aabot sa 2,500 sundalo ang hinanda para tumulong sa pulisya sa pagpapatupad ng seguridad sa huling State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino, ayon sa militar.

Naghanda ng isang batalyon, oo nasa 500 kawal, ang Camp Aguinaldo, Army, Air Force at Navy habang may naka-alerto ring isang batalyon sa Rizal, sabi ni AFP public affairs chief Lt. Col. Noel Detoyato.

“We do not want to assume anything violent, we are just preparing our troops para pag tinawag naka-alert na kaagad,” aniya.

“There are some indications of rallies, we are just hoping that they will be peaceful… It is their freedom to express their right but we just hope and appeal that that freedom will not infringe on the freedom of others,” aniya.

“Everybody is going to be vigilant,” aniya.
