Dati milk tea, ngayon milkshake: 16 estudyante, 1 guro nalason

LABIMPITO katao, karamihan ay estudyante, ang naospital matapos uminom ng milkshake sa karinderyang katabi ng isang paaralan sa Davao City noong Biyernes,  ayon sa pulisya.

Isinugod ang mga estudyante, na may edad 8 hanggang 13, at ang 33-anyos na si Sally Tambis sa Southern Philippines Medical Center at Davao Medical School Foundation matapos magpakita ng mga tanda ng “food poisoning,” sabi ni Supt. Antonio Rivera, tagapagsalita ng Southern Mindanao regional police.

Naganap ang insidente sa Dizon Elementary School na nasa kahabaan ng Bacaca Road alas-2 ng hapon.

Lumabas sa imbestigayon na bago ang insidente ay nagmeryenda ang 17 sa Oono carinderia, na nasa tabi lang ng paaralan.

“After a few minutes, they felt dizziness, stomach pain and uncontrollable vomiting,” sabi ni Rivera sa isang text message.

Napag-alaman na lahat ay uminom ng “bubble gum-flavored milkshake” ng karinderya, aniya pa.

Inilagay sa kostudiya ng pulisya ang may-ari ng kariderya na si Robert John Arcales habang inaalam pa ng lokal na unit ng Department of Health ang sanhi ng insidente, dagdag ni Rivera.
