Asian ParaTriathlon gagawin uli sa Pinas

TIYAK na tataas ang morale ng mga Filipino ParaTriathletes ng bansa dahil sa gagawin sa Pilipinas ang ASTC Asian ParaTriathlon Championships (APC) sa Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Sina Sixto Ducay (arm disability category), Andy Avellana (above-knee amputee) at Godfrey Taberna (below-knee disability), ang mga mangunguna sa hanay ng mga pambato ng bansa sa kompetisyong gagawin sa Agosto 16.

Inorganisa ng Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) sa superbisyon ng Asian Triathlon Confederation (ATC) katuwang ang Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Tourism Department, balak din ng tatlong atletang ito ang makasungkit ng medalya at magkaroon ng puntos para makasali sa 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Ito na ang ikatlong APC na gagawin sa bansa pero binago na ang klasipikasyon  sa mga paratriathletes. Ang mga paglalabanang distansya ay 750m swim, 18km bike, 5km run paratriathlon sprint distance at 350m swim, 9km bike, 2.5km run mixed relay.

Sa ganap na alas-6 ng umaga magsisimula ang karera sa Sands of Triboa at matatapos sa San Bernardino street.

Sumusuporta sa karerang ito ang Asian Centre for Insulation Philippines, Gatorade, Subic Travelers Hotel, Speedo, Philippine Olympic Committee at Standard Insurance habang mga media partners ang DZSR Sports Radio, Channel 4 TeleDyaryo, RaceDay, SBR.ph, Kikay Runner at PinoyFitness.com.
