It just came.
I’m also into sports now.
I did triathlon last holiday season.
I was to give up na, parang ayoko na but then I really pushed myself until the end.
Umalis na nga ako sa venue, I didn’t even know that I won.
B: So, talagang kinakarir mo ang sports?
ID: I think I’m surrounded with people na into sports, like Georgina (Wilson), si Solenn (Heussaff) lahat kami nag-i-sports lagi together, and I think that’s the key sa aming healthy life. Naks, parang commercial lang, ‘no! Hahahaha!
B: Kumusta naman ang showbiz life mo?
ID: I like it naman, na-eenjoy ko naman ang showbiz kasi I get to do a lot of things that teach me, like time management, teach me about myself, hosting in different regions, nakikita ko ‘yung iba’t-ibang magagandang lugar sa Pilipinas, so I’m so fortunate na nabibigyan ako ng ganitong klase ng opportunities.
Siyempre meeting people, new friends, ang dami-dami kong nakikilalang bagong kaibigan, like sa “Manny Many Prizes,” ang dami kong nakakausap na mga tao, nakukuwento nila ‘yung life stories nila, very interesting. I like the whole experience so far.
B: Naha-handle mo naman ang mga intriga?
ID: Okay lang, I think it comes with the territory. And ever since bata pa ako, I was exposed to those things na.
Tsaka, it’s part of life, kahit nasa isang corporate ka, sa opisina, may mga intriga rin naman.
So, hindi mo talaga maiiwasan, might as well, dedmahin mo na lang. But siyempre sa showbiz, I guess it’s more broadcasted, it’s just a matter of how you respond to it and how you bounce back.
ID: Si Pacman? Meron bang ganu’n? Well, I think sa showbiz naman, lahat ng ka-work mo may ganu’ng link-link. Pero ako I just laugh about it, I don’t want to deny or confirm about something.
ID: Hindi naman super duper close, but we’re okay.
Si Paolo Contis din, he always makes us laugh, mahilig manloko, masaya lang kami, nina Gladys, dati nandiyan din si Rhian. So, happy family lang.
B: Saan ka mas nag-eenjoy, sa acting or hosting?
ID: I think I enjoy hosting the most, kasi you just have to be yourself, natural lang, pwede kang mag-adlib, pwede kang magkamali and correct it immediately.
Tapos pwede kang mag-host ng iba’t-ibang shows, like MMP, kasi kasama mo ‘yung international boxing champion natin, and also na-cover ko ‘yung Miss World.
Ang acting kasi mahirap kasi you have to portray a character na possible na malayung-malayo sa personality mo.
So effort ‘yun, lalo na kapag kailangan mong umiyak, kahit na happy ka sa life mo, or inspired ka, pero kapag may taping ka, you have to cry. Things like that.
But I have been exposed since bata pa ako, my mom was at “Cool Ka Lang” (dating sitcom) dito sa GMA, so lagi lang akong nandito kasama niya.
B: Gusto mo ba talagang maging artista?
Tsaka sa lifestyle, sa modelling, commercial, events, tapos siyempre, I wanted to do a lot of sports, noon kasi wala pa akong masyadong ginagawa as in studies, studies lang.
I wanted to know kung ano ang gusto kong gawin talaga. Tapos pumasok nga ‘yung mga hosting jobs. And I also wanna help my mom, kasi she’s working for the whole family.
ID: Yeah, why not? You know, I saw my mom evolve in showbiz. From being a beauty queen, she became an actress and won acting awards pa.
And yes, I would like to end up like my mom, napakarami niyang napatunayan hindi lang sa sarili niya kundi sa buong mundo. I’m really proud of her.
ID: We all know naman that movie made her a big star.
And it’s something special for me dahil ‘yung name niya du’n sa movie, kinuha sa pangalan ko.
For me, tatanggapin ko ‘yung offer kung okey ‘yung magiging director at kapag na-feel ko na ready na ako to do such bold and daring move.
Kapag nandiyan na siguro, I will not have second thoughts. Di ba, sinasabi nga nila, classic na ‘yung movie, so I would love to do it. And one more thing, may scenes dun na kailangang mangabayo, I think that wouldn’t be a problem anymore, dahil equestrian din ako.
