KINILALA ng On The Ropes Boxing Radio ang husay ni Manny Pacquiao matapos ang matagumpay na pagbabalik sa ring noong Nobyembre 24 sa Macau, China.
Kinaharap ni Pacquiao si Brandon Rios at dinomina ng una ang huli sa kanilang 12-round bout tungo sa unanimous decision na pagwawagi.
Ang panalo ang nagsantabi sa mga haka-haka na tapos na ang boxing career ng Kongresista ng Sarangani Province matapos ang sixth-round knockout na pagkatalo na tinamo kay Juan Manuel Marquez noong 2012.
Dalawang laban ang hinarap ni Pacquiao noong 2012 pero wala siyang naipanalo matapos unang lasapin ang split decision pagkatalo kay Timothy Bradley.
Ang magandang ipinakita kontra kay Rios ang nagtulak sa On The Ropes Boxing Radio na igawad sa Pambansang Kamao ang Comeback Fighter of the Year sa 2013.
“Coming off a 6th round KO defeat at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez, many wondered if Manny Pacquiao would ever be the same fighter again,” wika ng OTRBR.
“Once his return was announced, and that he would be facing Brandon Rios, some thought the matchup could be dangerous and the wrong type of fight for Pacquiao’s return,” dagdag nito.
Pero ang determinadong Pacquiao ay nagsanay nang husto sa General Santos City upang maibalik ang dating kinatatakutang bilis at lakas sa magkabilang kamao tungo sa kumbinsidong panalo.
“He proved that he was not only back, but also still a force to be reckoned with in the welterweight division,” dagdag ng OTRBR.
