“While we respect the decision of President Aquino, we are not withdrawing and backtracking from our request to accord state honors for the former President because he deserves it being a war hero and a former President. Who knows, someday he may change his mind,” ani Escudero, naging minister ng binuwag na Ministry of Agriculture noong rehimeng Marcos.
Ayon naman kay Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., “at the end of the day, he (President Aquino) will be the one to decide and make a decision. I respect the decision.”
“The President already stated his decision on the matter and we should respect that, he will be the one to decide on this.”
Bongbong Marcos.
“Mabuti naman at nagsalita na ang Pangulo. It is good that he has finally put his foot down on this issue after taking so long deciding on the matter. It would indeed be a travesty of justice if Marcos is buried with honors while thousands of his victims are still reeling from the damage he wrought on their lives,” ani Casiño.
“Sen. Bongbong Marcos is particularly miffed because he is aiming for a higher position in 2016 and needs to cleanse his father’s legacy of authoritarian rule.” – Leifbilly Begas
