MIFF 2025 tuloy sa Marso matapos ma-postpone dahil sa California wildfires

MAY bagong dates na para sa inaabangang Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025.

Ayon sa anunsyo, ito ay gaganapin na sa darating na March 4 hanggang 7.

“Don’t miss the best in Philippine Cinema at the Manila International Film Fest at the TCL Theaters,” saad sa Instagram Stories ng MIFF.

Magugunitang hindi natuloy ang nasabing film festival ngayong January 30 hanggang February 2 dahil sa nararanasang malawakang wildfires sa California sa United States.

Ayon pa nga sa post ng US-based talent-PR manager at vlogger na si Oliver Carnay kamakailan lang, maraming Filipino community ang apektado ng naturang kalamidad.

Para sa mga hindi aware, ang MIFF ay ang independent entity ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) na nagsimula noong January last year kung saan itinampok ang 2023 MMFF entries sa Hollywood.

For this year naman ay bibida ang 2024 MMFF films, kabilang na ang “The Kingdom,” “And the Breadwinner Is…,” “Green Bones,” “Isang Himala,” “Hold Me Close,” “My Future You,” “Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital,” “Espantaho,” “Topakk” at “Uninvite.” 

Bukod diyan ay tampok din ang 2024 blockbuster hit na “Hello, Love, Again,” pati na rin ang ilang Filipino classics.

Magtatapos ang nasabing event sa pagbibigay ng awards na gaganapin sa Beverly Hilton Hotel sa Beverly Hills, California.
