ILANG oras nalang, magkakaroon ng mga bagong reyna ang Miss World Philippines!
Pero ang tanong ng INQUIRER.NET, ano kaya ‘yung “ideal queen” para kila Gwendolyne Fourniol at Michelle Arceo?
Para sa reigning Miss World Philippines na si Gwendolyn, “I want a woman who is empowered, who is also empowering those around her, and will never forget that even after she is crowned, or even if she isn’t crowned.”
Dagdag pa ng Frensh-Filipino beauty queen, “Of course, it’s generations of legacy that I’ll be passing on, and I want someone who is well-rounded, someone who has all the abilities, someone who can take that responsibility, not just for herself, but for the community that is around her.”
Taong 2022 nang makuha ni Gwendolyne ang nasabing titulo at nitong Marso lamang nang lumaban siya sa international pageant kung saan nag-qualify siya sa ilang fast-track events.

Ang nais naman ng reigning Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas na si Michelle, gusto niya ng isang “lady with personality.”
“Because I think that’s super-super important when they venture off to Bolivia. Latinos really love that spunk and fire,” paliwanag niya.
Aniya pa, “I wanna see a girl who’s passionate about everything that she does, with her walk, the way that she performs, and the way that she speaks. It should really embody that of our Spanish roots and Spanish culture.”
Si Michelle ay kinoronahan last year sa Miss Grand International pageant, pero ang magiging successor niya ay pipiliin sa inaabangang coronation night ng Miss World PH.
Si Michelle ay itinanghal na second runner-up sa 2023 Reina Hispanoamericana pageant na ginanap sa Bolivia noong Enero.
Siya ang ikatlong Pinay na nagwagi sa nasabing international competition mula nang maiuwi ni Wynwyn Marquez ang international crown noong 2017.
Maliban sa dalawang titulo, maglalaban-laban din ang mga kandidata para sa korona ng Miss Philippines Tourism na ang nauna nang nakuha nina Glyssa Perez, Trisha Martinez, at Herlene Nicole Budol.
Ang coronation ng Miss World Philippines pageant ay gaganapin ngayong gabi, July 19, sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
