WALANG kaarte-arte at game na game raw na ginawa nina Joshua Garcia at Janella Salvador ang kanilang viral “laplapan” scene sa Kapamilya action-fantasy series na “Darna”.
Yan ang kinumpirma ng isa sa mga direktor ng “Mars Ravelos’ Darna” na si Benedict Mique nang makachikahan namin kamakailan.
Bukod siyepre kay Jane de Leon na siyang gumaganap na Darna, bilib na bilib din si Direk Benedict sa professionalism ni Joshua pati na ni Janella na gumaganap namang Valentina.
Kuwento ni Direk na isa ring film producer, one take lang ang kontrobersyal kissing scene nina Joshua at Janella pero maraming kinunang anggulo.
Hindi raw sila nahirapang ipagawa sa dalawang stars ng “Darna” ang nasabing eksena at in fairness, talaga namang pinag-usapan ito nang bonggang-bongga ng madlang pipol.

Nagsimula na nitong nagdaang Lunes ang season 2 ng “Darna” at sabi ni Direk Benedict, maraming-marami pang pasabog ang serye na dapat abangan ng manonood lalo na sa mga karakter nina Jane at Joshua.
May mga netizens na nangnenega sa “Darna” pero mas marami pa rin ang pumupuri rito kaya nagpapasalamat si Direk Benedict at ang buong production sa lahat ng manonood.
Sa isang Facebook page nga ng Kapamilya director, nabasa namin ang mahabang mensahe ni Direk hinggil sa patuloy na paglipad ni Darna sa iba’t ibang platforms ng ABS-CBN.
“By the way guys pakicheck ratings, youtube, tiktok etc views and social media enggagements ng Darna. More than happy kami sa results considering na walang franchise ang network.
“Kumbaga sa boksing sobrang astig ng ABS at lumalaban na nakatali ang dalawang kamay! Hindi biro ang 140-150k daily views sa youtube and billions of engagements sa social media and other online platforms. Darna lang meron nun!
“The world of media and entertainment is shifting and we are on that boat. Sakay na sa bangka huwag sa alon. Kaya ang masasabi ko lang Darna Team, Fans, Supporters, Critics and Memas hahaha, thank you sa support and sa pansin, Darna Astig!” aniya pa.
Sa isa pa niyang post, nabanggit din ni Direk na naging bahagi rin siya ng “Darna” ni Angel Locsin at “Captain Barbel” ni Richard Gutierrez.
“Wow the Darna experience so far. Being in the industry for the past 24 years and being a part of the first Darna that starred Angel Locsin and also Captain Barbell isa lang masasabi ko, kung kaya mong gumawa ng Darna o magdirek ng Darna sa panahong ito, kaya mo nang gawin lahat.
“The amount of work being done in this show is incredible from the effects people from the practical to the digital fx, stunt team, the talents the crew, the staff, the writers and the stars.
“Ipusta ko, papuntahin niyo Marvel dito di nila magagawa ang ginagawa ng team. Baka mabaliw sila pag nalaman nila how it is being pulled off.
“You see guys unlike our counterparts in hollywood we dont have the same resources as theirs. Any filmmaker who have done a show or a film that involves fx will know this.
“Thats why I admire the network for being gutsy enough to produce a show like this even in the middle of its struggles of not having a franchise and other woes.
“Actually Im happy that the industry is alive and running and our field is slowly rebounding.
“Being a producer myself there is nobility in knowing that you are providing jobs and opportunities to people.
“I also admire the other networks, producers and streaming platforms for continuing to make content that shows that Filipinos are great storytellers.
“Lastly when you see a Filipino show or Film Think about the people behind it. Think about their children, their wives, their sister, their mother, their Father. Your fellow countryman.
“Its their source of livelihood. Its what brings food to their table. Its what makes their children go to school. Iyan ang sumasagot ng hospital bills o maintenance ni Lolo at Lola. Iyan ang nagbabayad ng bahay na tinitirhan nila.
“So please continue supporting our industry and continue enjoying watching Darna and all the other shows and films we Filipino TV and Film workers are doing,” ang pagbabahagi pa ni Direk Benedict Mique.
