SolGen Jose Calida itinalaga bilang bagong COA chairman
HINIRANG ni President-elect Bongbong Marcos si outgoing Solicitor General Jose Calida bilang bagong chairman ng Commission on Audit (COA).

Ito ay inanunsyo ni incoming press secretary Atty. Trixie Angeles sa nangyaring press briefing ngayong Miyerkules ng hapon, June 29.

“Mayroon tayong bagong appointees. The first is Atty. Jose Calida for COA chair,” saad ng incoming press secretary.

Bilang COA chairman, pamumunuan ni Calida ang independent constitutional office na ang pangunahing responsibilidad ay i-check at i-audit ang paggamit ng pondo ng gobyerno at ang mga ari-arian na pagmamay-ari nito.

Bago italaga bilang COA chairman ay in-appoint muna siya ni outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte bilang Solicitor General noong Hulyo 2016.

Bago pa man siya manilbihan sa administrasyong Duterte ay naging Justice Undersecretary ng administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Arroyo mula 2001-2004 at executive director ng Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).

Kasabay ng anunsyo sa pagkakatalaga Calida bilang COA chairman ay ang pagtalaga rin kay Jose Arnulfo Veloso bilang chairman ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
