“A few years ago, I was diagnosed by my psychiatrist with a mental health condition known as Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) which according to her stemmed from my childhood.
“This condition usually happens to adults who experienced prolonged trauma in interpersonal relationships for years such as forms of abuse, emotional neglect and/or bullying,” simulang pagbabahagi ng aktres.

Aniya pa patungkol sa mga sintomas ng C-PTSD, “Symptoms of this condition usually appear in adulthood when stored traumas and pain grow in our bodies and begin to take over us which causes us to shut down, explode and project negative energy towards others.
“What happened in our childhood is not our fault and I believe in my heart that the people who unconsciously project their own traumas and pain onto others never intend to do so.
“I believe they, too, are experiencing their own mental health issues and they just don’t know how to handle them. I mean, let’s be honest—who does?” lahad pa ng kapatid ni Elmo Magalona.
Patuloy pa niyang pagpapaliwanag sa kanyang kundisyon noon, “However, even if there is no one to blame for why mental health issues arise in our lives, as adults, it is 100% our responsibility to heal and bring ourselves into alignment.
“When someone has a mental health condition, it doesn’t mean that they are damaged. It simply means that there is an imbalance in their system and a disconnect of mind, body and soul. The solution is to create inner harmony by bringing our energies into balance,” sabi pa niya.
Dagdag pa ng “Viral Scandal” actress patungkol sa naging experience niya sa kanyang C-PTSD, “In my own healing journey, I choose to see the people around me as fellow souls who are also on their own healing journey and whatever happens between us is never personal.
“Instead of wasting my time pointing fingers, judging others and forcing them to work on their issues, I would much rather invest my energy in focusing on my own struggles and the self-work that I need to do.
“We have to accept that life will not always go our way. We can never be in control of our external environment but with consistent practice and daily devotion, we can always be in control of our internal response.
“One way or another, we will stumble, feel pain and get broken-hearted and instead of denying this reality, we just have to surrender, hold ourselves gently as we process our pain and trust that God will bring us through it all,” ang huling pahayag ni Maxene gamit ang hashtag #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth.
