Sharon bibida sa film adaptation ng award-winning novel na ‘The Mango Bride’

BUKOD sa American family crime drama series na “Concepcion”, isa pang international project ang kumpirmadong pagbibidahan ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Nito lamang nakaraang linggo nang bumandera ang balita na isa si Shawie sa mga napiling aktres para maging bahagi ng “Concepcion” na isang collaboration project ng ABS-CBN International Production at Only Human Productions na naka-base sa Amerika.
At kasunod nga nito, ang OPM at movie icon din ang maswerteng napili na magbida sa film adaptation ng award-winning novel na “The Mango Bride.”
Sa kanyang Instagram page, ni-repost ni Mega ang isang report mula sa magazine na Variety at isinulat ang caption na, “SURPRISE! Hollywood, here come the PINOYS!!!(praying hands at heart emojis).
“Please pray for this project to succeed. My prayer is that it is able to open doors for ALL OF US in the industry – FINALLY!” aniya pa.
“I wanted to do ‘The Mango Bride’ because it’s the best way to connect to a global audience by putting some of the best Filipino talents and stories together to tell an emotional and uplifting story like this.

“I have long been a fan of Marivi Soliven’s writing, from ‘Suddenly Stateside,’ her collection of light essays about living in the US, to ‘The Mango Bride.’ She captures the Filipino migrant and Filipino-American experience skillfully,” ang sabi naman ni Mega sa artikulo ng Variety.
Iikot ang masalimuot at makulay na kuwento ng “The Mango Bride” sa dalawang Pinay na sina Amparo at Beverly. Noong 2011, nanalo ng grand prize ang nobelang ito sa Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature.
Hindi pa sigurado kung ano ang unang gagawin ni Sharon sa dalawa niyang international projects pero ang balita kasado na ang lahat para sa US series niyang “Concepcion” na isang “crime family drama centering on a Filipino family that ruled over a Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles, California.”
Magiging bahagi rin ng production nito ang Filipino-American actor na si Reggie Lee at ang Filipino-America film producer na si Jeremiah Abraham.
