ABANGERS na ang lahat ng Pinoy pageant fans sa nalalapit na grand coronation ng ika-70 edisyon ng Miss World kung saan rarampa na muli ang ating kandidata na si Tracy Maureen Perez.
Gaganapin ito sa March 16, 2022 sa Coliseum Jose Agrelot, Puerto Rico. Hindi natuloy ang inaabangang international beauty pageant noong Dec. 16 dahil sa pandemya.
Ngayon pa lang ay super excited na ang sambayanang Filipino sa paglaban ni Tracy sa Miss World 2021 lalo pa’t isa siya sa mga early favorites among the semi-finalists. Marami ang nagsasabi na malakas ang laban ng dalaga sa pageant this year.
Isa si Tracy sa 15 “fast track winners” matapos umariba sa pre-pageant challenges na nagbigay sa kanya ng winning moment para mapabilang sa Miss World 2021 Top 40 finalists.
Lahat ng kandidatang papasok sa Top 40 ang babalik sa Puerto Rico para maglaban-laban sa finals night.
Ang ilan sa mga naging batayan ng ginawang evaluation sa mga kandidata nitong mga nagdaang buwan ay ang mga sumusunod: in-person impressions, dress rehearsal, head-to-head and beauty with a purpose videos.
Narito ang 15 beauty queen na nauna nang pumasok sa Top 40 matapos manalo sa fast track challenges: Palesa Molefe, Botswana; Audrey Monkam, Cameroon; Olivia Have, Cote D’Ivoire; Rehema Muthamia, England; Manasa Varanasi, India; Sharon Obara, Kenya.
Nandiyan din sina Karolina Vidales, Mexico; Burte-Ujin Anu, Mongolia; Namrata Shrestha, Nepal; Sherrynnis Palacios, Nicaragua; Bethania Borba, Paraguay; Tracy Maureen Perez, Philippines; Shudufhadzo Musida, South Africa; Shree Saini, United States of America; Alejandra Conde, Venezuela.

Kung matatandaan, na-postpone ang coronation night ng Miss World last December matapos mahawa ng COVID-19 ang ilan sa mga kandidata.
“Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety interest of contestants, staff, crew and the general public. The finale will be rescheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days,” ayon sa official statement ng MW Organization.
“The Miss World pageant ‘lose millions,’ due to COVID-19 cancellations. They lost millions in set cost to produce the show. We hear the production cost is around $5 million,” ayon naman sa ulat ng Page Six news.
Mapapanood naman nang live ang 70th Miss World edition sa March 17 sa CNN Philippines. Kung mananalo rito si Tracy siya na ang magiging ikalawang Pinay Miss World sunod kay Megan Young.
