Enchong ibinandera ang wacky dance video matapos madiin sa cyber libel case

MUKHANG hindi naman apektado ang Kapamilya actor-entrepreneur na si Enchong Dee sa cyber libel case na isinampa laban sa kanya ng isang kongresista.
Sa halip kasi na sagutin at magpaliwanag sa kinasasangkutang kaso ay isang dance video ang ipinost ng binata sa social media kamakalawa, Jan. 2, 2022.
Mainit na sinalubong ni Enchong ang Bagong Taon sa pamamagitan ng isang video kung saan ipinakita niya sa madlang pipol ang kanyang bagong hip-hop dance moves.
Ibinahagi niya ito sa Instagram na may caption na, “Hello 2022.” Wala nang ibang mensahe na inilagay si Enchong sa kanyang post pero ni-like at pinusuan naman ito ng kanyang mga followers.
Sa gitna nga ng kanyang nakaaaliw na dance steps, nananatili pa ring tahimik ang aktor sa kautusan ng ilang Davao Occidental prosecutors na sampahan na siya ng kaso base sa reklamo ni Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Party-list Rep. Claudine Bautista-Lim.
Ito’y nag-ugat sa umano’y malisyoso at mapanirang-puring tweet ni Enchong tungkol sa engrandeng kasal ni Bautista-Lim.
“The money for commuters and drivers went to her wedding. Let’s not prolong this conversation and don’t say otherwise,” ang laman ng Twitter post ng binata noong Aug. 14, 2021.
Ilang araw ang nakalipas, nag-tweet uli si Enchong at nag-sorry sa kanyang mga nasabi, “I have been reckless in the tweet I posted and I take full responsibility for my lapse in judgment.
“With deep regret, I would like to apologize to Congresswoman Claudine Bautista, her husband, their families, and the Dumper Partylist.
“I reacted based on impulse without thinking of the consequences nor the harm it may cause. I learned that as dutiful citizens, we must always fact-check our statements to avoid sensationalism and the spread of false news.
“I will take this opportunity to reflect on the wrong I have done and use this opportunity to better myself in being more discerning of my actions,” aniya pa sa kanyang public apology.

Ayon naman sa resolusyon na inilabas ng mga prosecutor, “Calling someone a thief, without proof and with heavy malice, is where to draw the line, as this is already libelous.”
Kung matatandaan, kinasuhan ni Bautista-Lim si Enchong ng cyber libel at humihingi ng P1 billion in damages, “The anxiety, anguish, humiliation and the impact on my and my family’s reputation left us no choice but to file cases against those responsible for causing us so much grief and worry, which almost led to me losing our baby, and which adversely affected some of our constituents’ trust in us.”
Ang tatlo pang isinama ng kongresista sa kanyang reklamo na sina Agot Isidro, Pokwang at Ogie Diaz ay inabswelto naman ng korte.
