NAISIP na rin pala ng Kapamilya actress-entrepreneur na si Dimples Romana na mag-quit sa pagiging artista.
Ngunit totoong-totoo raw ang kasabihan na kapag pumasok ka sa showbiz hahanap-hanapin mo na ito dahil naging bahagi na nga ng iyong sistema.
“Sa totoo lang, gusto ko talaga sabihin na I want to step out of it pero parang totoo yata yung mga sinasabi ng mga iniidolo kong mga artista na kapag minsan ka nang naging artista, hahanap-hanapin mo talaga,” ani Dimples na napapanood ngayon sa Kapamilya drama series na “Viral Scandal.”
“Imagine, kapag sa pandemya iisipin mo, when you are given an opportunity to work with a stellar cast (sa Viral Scandal), I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this cast is, bakit ko naman pipigilin yung sarili ko sa ganu’ng klase ng pribilehiyo?” pahayag ng aktres.
Patuloy pa niya, “Bihira na ang magkaroon ng trabaho ngayong panahong ito, di ba? So ngayon talaga nagkakasukatan na ng tatapangan mo ba ang sarili mo para you go out there?
“In reality, when you are working in a production, whether it is film or commercials or TV, you really feel a certain deeper meaning to what we do and dati kasi it’s so much easier, you just go home after. It’s not as unsafe as it is right now.
“Kumbaga now when you say life and death, totoo talaga na life and death di ba? Pero ako parang siguro with everything that’s been going on with my family and investments na somehow naipundar dahil din sa trabaho na ito, parang yung pasasalamat ko na lang to just show up at work and be the artista that I grew up to be,” paliwanag pa ni Dimples.
Mahigit dalawang dekada na sa showbiz ang celebrity mom kaya talagang ito na ang naging buhay niya, “Kasi 12 years old pa lang ako nag-aartista na ako. So ang puso ko talaga ay nasa pag-arte. I feel like now more than ever, actors have a bigger responsibility to transcending all these emotions.
“Because when our audience would watch a material like Viral Scandal, they are transported to a different world. And ngayon don’t we all want to be transported to a different world kahit one or two hours lang in a day?
“Para kahit paano naiibsan yung pag-aalala natin, nakakalimutan natin yung pinoproblema natin. And basically I feel that as creatives and as actors, yun yung pino-provide namin, na kahit paano maiibsan yung pag-aalala ng manonood kasi alam nila na ibang mundo ang pasukin ko through the emotions of these characters.
“After that, that’s when they can go back to their lives and deal with whatever they have to deal with. But at least they get to release and have a relief of the emotions that they’ve been feeling for the two years that they’ve been in a pandemic. So hindi pa,” chika ng aktres.

Samantala, mukhang matatagalan pa nga bago magdesisyon si Dimples na mag-retire sa showbiz, “Nagka-college si Callie (panganay na anak), nasa Australia. Baka mahimatay ako kapag hindi ako nagtrabaho. Ha-hahaha! Hindi ko yata kaya.
“Sabi ko, ‘Ah, mag-ready muna tayo.‘ Siguro kapag nag-college na si Alonzo (bunso) so matagal-tagal pa, di ba?” aniya pa.
