Orbos na, “Please be mindful of what’s happening to other people. Life is not just about you.
“I have cancer in 2018. I know what it’s like to be in the ICU. I know how it’s like to stay alone in the hospital.
“You see the four walls but nobody’s there so what do you do? It’s our moment with God, bringing us closer. So if you’re going to any problem, God is there,” pahayag ng pari.
“The past few weeks was quite an ordeal for our family. It was very very difficult for us not to even get the chance of visiting our father inside the hospital room, being a COVID patient.
“And it was more difficult for me being the eldest amongst us to decide what is really best for him. The most difficult decision I made was when the doctor called me and asked my permission to intubate him as the soonest possible time.
“Actually, I really didn’t want him to be under the ventilator since I know it’s really uncomfortable. But I asked the doctor, ‘Doktora, what if I don’t allow him to be intubated?’
“And then she replied,’ He will not last.’ So right there and then, sabi ko kay Doktora, ‘Gawin niyo na po ang lahat ng dapat gawin.’
“I did not consult my mom nor my siblings anymore because I knew that was very crucial for him to be intubated,” lahad ng actor-politician.
Saad pa niya, “But at the end, with the Lord’s guidance, I still made the right decision. Right now, he has been extubated. He’s out of the vent already.
“His vital organs are all normal, no fever, no agitation. He’s chest X-ray has seemingly improved and he is slowly recovering but not yet off the woods.”
Masaya pa niyang kuwento, “Actually, I was elated last night when the nurse forwarded to me a video of my dad already singing.
“He sang his favorite song ‘Always You,’ the usual tenacity of old Erap. So now he’s very conscious. He’s already singing in his hospital bed.
“But I still request all of you to continue to pray for my father and to all those who’s suffering from this awful disease COVID-19 for their speedy recovery.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you very much for all your prayers, all your support, all your love that you have shown my father,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ni Jinggoy Estrada.
