FDA: Sinovac puwede nang iturok sa mga senior ayon sa vaccine experts
Inaprubahan na ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) na maiturok sa senior citizens ang Sinovac.
Paliwanag ni FDA Dir. Gen. Eric Domingo ang pagbabago niya ng posisyon ay base sa rekomendasyon ng mga eksperto bukod sa sitwasyon ngayon na mabilis na pagkakahawa-hawa.
Gayunpaman, diin nito kailangan pa rin masuri muna ang kondisyon ng nakakatanda na babakunahan ng Sinovac.
“Vaccination should be preceded by an evaluation of the person’s health status and exposure risk to assure that benefits of vaccination outweigh risks,” bilin ni Domingo.
Kinumpirma naman ni Dr. Nina Gloriani, ng Department of Science and Technology, na aprubado na ng vaccine experts panel ang bakuna na gawa ng China.
Nabanggit din ni Domingo na may 11 bansa na ang nagtuturok sa kanilang senior citizens ang Sinovac.
