Aniya sa caption, “So much has happened, and yet so much did not happen. So many challenges and losses, yet we learned, and we also gained.”
Dugtong pa ng award-winning singer-actress, “Sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, it’s important to remember that none of us is alone.
“No matter how scared or trapped or alone you feel, things can only get better. We can still hope, dream, and live life on purpose. We are #STILLHERE,” dagdag pa niyang mensahe.
“With the pandemic in mind, ang unang naisip is kung one location lang at bakit hindi cafe? Isang cafe where you find love.
We wanted to offer love stories na something familiar enough but with the sprinkle of in the now and at the same time may insights about love, family, and friendship. From there, naglaro na kami ng devices and treatment.
“We also want our audiences to delve in the psychology of Heart Fulgencio (Julie Anne), at pati ‘yung conflict ng tunay n’yang nararamdaman versus kung paano siya nagre-react upon it. That’s why we use a device of breaking the fourth wall.
“Parang with this, gusto namin na kasama, literal, ang audiences sa journey ni Heart sa pag-pursue ng dreams n’ya at sa paghahanap ng love n’ya,” paliwanag pa ng Kapuso writer.
Dagdag pa niya, “Nu’ng nalaman namin na sina Julie Anne San Jose at David Licauco ang magiging cast sa Heartful Cafe, naging collaborative kaagad ‘yung process.
“In-interview at kinilala namin sila, and their views on love and coffee. From there, we tried to incorporate their personalities sa character namin and at the same time, nagdagdag din kami ng characteristics na magtsa-challenge sa kanila bilang actors.
“So upon seeing the materials na na-shoot na, makikita n’yo yung chemistry and I’m sure ma-i-in love ang audience,” lahad pa niya.
