Blow-by-blow account ni Lacierda sa pagsuko ni Napoles kay PNoy idinetalye

IDINETALYE ni Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda ang pagsuko ni Janet Lim-Napoles kay Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III noong Miyerkules ng gabi ilang oras matapos mag-alok ng P10 milyong pabuya para sa ulo ng itinuturing na utak ng P10 bilyong pork barrel scam. Sa kanyang press conference Huwebes ng umaga, sinabi ni Lacierda na pagkakatapos  ihayag ni Aquino ang P10 milyong premyo para sa ikakahuli ni Napoles, nagbigay ng pahayag ang abogado ni Napoles na si Atty. Lorna Kapunan na handang sumuko ang kanyang kliyente. Alas- 12:37pm. nang tagawan niya si Kapunan para kumpirmahin ang sinabi nito sa isang  istasyon ng telebisyon. “Was your statement that I saw on TV true or not—that her client was willing to surrender? And she said: Yes. And she already mentioned at that point that they wanted to surrender but they were—Ms. Janet Napoles was fearing for her life. There was threat on her life,” sabi ni Lacierda. Aniya, umabot ng 10 minuto ang pag-uusap nila ni Kapunan sa telepono. “I said: You discuss it with your client and then I will discuss it—I will raise it with the President,” kwento pa ni Lacierda. Ayon kay Lacierda, pagkatapos ng pag-uusap nila ni Kapunan, agad niyang ipinaalam kay Aquino ang mensahe ni Kapunan. “So I went to the President. This was after his function at the Apolinario Mabini Awards when he went back to his office. So, I went up to him and informed the President about the developments and he just told me: Ang dami nating leads—there were leads of this and that—so this is just another lead. So sabi niya: ‘Pag bumalik na siya, let me know. So, okay, sir; so we’ll let you know,” dagdag pa ni Lacierda. Alas 4:06pm nang tawagan ulit siya ni Kapunan at ipinaalam ang kagustuhan ni Napoles na sumuko kay Aquino. “Her only request was that her safety be secured, owing to the fact that there was, on her part, there was fear for or there were threats on her life,” pahayag pa ni Lacierda. Sinabi pa ni Lacierda na bumalik muli siya kay Aquino na kung saan nandun na sina Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa. “The President already instructed Secretary Mar Roxas, as soon as she surrenders, turn over the custody to DILG or to PNP. So, at that point, we made further discussions with Atty. Lorna Kapunan and the question was: Where do I see you? Saan ba tayo magkikita?… In my sense, she was not in direct contact with Ms. Napoles, so she was talking through a conduit. So we were going back and forth on where to meet, where to meet,” ayon pa kay Aquino. Aniya, habang nag-uusap sila ni Kapunan, inatasan ni Roxas si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Alan Purisima para ihanda ang pasilidad na pagdadalhan kay Napoles at kung paano siya mabibigyan ng proteksyon. Nang kumpirmado na ang pagsuko ni Napoles, sinabi ni Lacierda na sinabihan siya ni Kapunan na magkita sila sa bisinidad ng Pasong Tamo. “So no time was indicated. She just told me: I’ll see you in Pasong Tamo. So, upon informing Secretary Mar Roxas, he provided a vehicle for me and also the escorts to secure Ms. Napoles. Because we don’t know exactly what time [that] was or how long it will take, I—maybe lalampas ng dinner. Ang sabi ko: Usec. Manolo (Quezon), Usec. Abi (Valte), join me. We’ll have dinner first. With the idea that, if may go-signal na from Atty. Kapunan, split na siya, split na kami, they’ll go back to the office,” kwento pa ni Lacierda. Alas 6:50pm. nang umalis sila mula sa Malacanang papuntang Pasong Tamo. “I got a call from Atty. Kapunan to see her in White Space. Apparently, Atty. Kapunan is a trustee of Red Cross. So when I reached White Space, I saw Lorna, together with Lorna in a vehicle was Mr. Jimmy Napoles. So, nagkita si Lorna and Jimmy Napoles, they boarded the vehicle where I was,” dagdag pa ni Lacierda. Idinagdag ni Lacierda na nang nakasakay na sila sa loob ng sasakyan, tinanong niya kung saan sila pupunta at ang sumagot ay ang asawa ni Napoles na si Jimmy Napoles at sinabing sa Heritage Park sila tutuloy. “So we went to Heritage Park…  So, at that point, I was informing the President of the status. I was informing the—where I was. The President was also concerned for the situation,” aniya. Alas 8:06 pm. Nang makarating sila Heritage Park sa Taguig City. “So, we waited there from 8:06(pm) until 9:08 (pm). Kinausap ni Mr. Napoles—may kausap siya, may tine-text siya. So, at around 9:08, may dumating na dalawang babae. Tapos tumawag… Nakita namin ‘yung dalawang babae. We didn’t recognize sino sila tapos tumawag ‘yon, outside the car and they called up, sinagot ni Mr. Napoles. Sila na pala ‘yung dalawang babae na nasa labas ng sasakyan. So—‘yung isang babae si Ms. Napoles, ‘yung isang babae ‘yung kanyang kasambahay. I don’t know kung kamag-anak or—dala ‘yung mga gamit ni Ms. Napoles,” dagdag pa ni Lacierda. Idinagdag ni Lacierda na  nakabalik sila sa Malacanang ganap na 9:37 pm. “We arrived at the Palace at around 9:37. Nagpa-security check sila tapos si Ms. Napoles tiningnan po ng doktor. And there, tapos ‘non nag-usap na sila ni Pangulo,” kwento pa ni Lacierda. Sinabi ni Lacierda na kabilang sa mga nag-aantay ay sina Roxas, Ochoa, Purisima, Secretary to the Cabinet Jose Rene Almendras, Communications Secretary Ramon “Ricky” Carandang, Valte at Quezon. Sinabi pa ni Lacierda na tumagal ang pag-uusap nina Aquino at kampo ni Napoles ng 10 minuto. “Si Atty. Lorna Kapunan nagsasalita, nagpapasalamat na the President agreed to—for her to receive or to… What do you call that? For Janet Napoles to voluntarily surrender to the President,” aniya. Idinagdag ni Lacierda na ang tanging hiniling ni Kapunan ay bigyan ng sapat na proteksyon ang kanyang kliyente sa harap ng banta sa kanyang buhay. “Nagsabi si Pangulo: I’ve already instructed General Purisima, Secretary Mar Roxas to make sure that your safety is assured—ganoon,” kwento pa ni Lacierda. Nagdesisyon din si Aquino na samahan na si Napoles sa Camp Crame kung saan siya dinala. “So ‘nung paalis na kami, sabi ni Pangulong Aquino: O, tutal puyat na tayo, damay-damay na tayo.” So papunta ng Crame, I was with—I was in the car with Ms. Napoles, Mr. Napoles, ‘yung kasama nila, at saka si Atty. Kapunan, so we went together. The President went ahead na. So kami, nasa convoy kami nila Secretary Mar, Secretary Rene Almendras, Secretary Carandang,” aniya. Idinagdag ni Lacierda na pagdating sa Camp Crame, dinala siya sa holding area. “…Tapos the usual procedure, booking procedure ginawa doon. The President wanted to make sure that the area was secure so he went in to inspect the premises and, after that, umalis na rin si Pangulong Aquino. So ‘yon po ang nangyari kagabi, alright?” pagtatapos pa ni Lacierda.
