Luis nagsisi sa biniling jacket: Nu’ng nakita ko ang presyo parang sinundo ako bigla ng mga ninuno ko!

MAY isang bagay na napilitang bilhin si Luis Manzano noong nasa Amerika siya na hanggang ngayon ay talagang pinagsisisihan niya.

Nag-share ang TV host-actor ng naging experience niya nang minsang mag-shopping siya sa isang sosyal na store sa New York habang naka-break sa shooting nila para sa isang pelikula.

Kuwento ng fiancé ni Jessy Mendiola sa isang webinar, kung saan nakachikahan niya sina Jasmine Curtis at ang magkapatid na Andre at Kobe Paras, may nakita raw siyang jacket sa isang branded store sa New York na talagang nakakuha ng kanyang atensyon.

“So I saw the jacket, I loved it, I walked in and everyone took care of me right away. So, they gave me food, gave me sandwiches.

“And it so happened na may iba akong mga fans na pumunta doon sa store na ‘yon. So, I was there and I had about, you know, six of my tagahangas with me at the store,” kuwento ni Luis.

“They (staff ng store) said that jacket, the last piece, was bought by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. So, I was asking for one size. So, they had one jacket sent over from a different department store,” chika pa ng binata.

”When it finally got there, na-realize ko na I never looked at the price. So, could you imagine? So finally when I looked at the price, parang sinundo ako bigla ng mga ninuno ko.

“Parang I thought oras ko na. I heard singing, I saw a bright light. It turns out it was six figures,” birong kuwento pa niya.

Gusto na raw talaga niyang umalis sa lugar pero tinamaan na siya ng hiya, “I was planning on leaving. I was planning on, you know, just sneaking out of the store.

“Ang dami ko na palang nakain at nainom. Tsaka all my fans were there. So, nakakahiya kung iniwan ko sila bigla.

“I ended up buying that jacket. Used it twice or thrice. It’s a nice jacket, but up to now, pinagsisisihan ko pa rin ‘yan,” lahad pa ng award-winning TV host.

Samantala, nagiging magastos lang daw ang Kapuso actress na si Jasmine Curtis pagdating sa kanyang fur babies.

“I actually don’t splurge a lot on myself. I like to wait for a lot of free things. Ha-hahaha! I think that’s our benefits sometimes as influencers or personalities.

“But on a more gastos type of sense, like siguro my dogs and my pets really. Kasi they’re the ones that keep me company when I’m alone or when I’m at work they come with me. So, it’s more like making sure they’re happy makes me happy type of thing,” paliwanag ng dalaga.

Sey naman ni Kobe Paras, “I splurge on a lot of clothes and a lot of shoes. I basically invest in myself. I invest in a lot paintings. So, when I try to save money, I try to support local artists in the Philippines.”

Para naman sa utol niyang si Andre,  “I splurge on gym equipment ’cause during the pandemic a lot of gyms were closed. So, I made sure to buy equipment that I need to stay healthy.

“And I also splurge on balikbayan boxes. So, just in case Kobe has old clothes, I can just, you know, get it from him, para tipid,” chika pa ng Kapuso TV host-actor.
