‘Catriona nakaka-in love ang beauty, Rabiya kakaiba ang karisma’ — Olivia Quido

ANG nanalong Miss USA 2020 na African-American na si Asya Branch mula sa Mississippi ay kasama na sa roster of beauty queen endorser ng kilalang California-based skin expert na si Olivia Quido-Co.

Si Ms. Olivia ang CEO at founder ng O Skin Med Spa na matatagpuan sa California, USA.

Ayon kay Ms. Olivia, lalong dumami  ang followers niya matapos i-post ni Asya Branch ang kanyang O skin care products sa social media.

Pinasalamatan agad ni ng skin specialist ang beauty queen, “Congratulations Miss USA 2020 @asyadanielle. Thank you for loving and posting our O Skin Care products,” aniya.

Bukod kay Miss USA ay pinasalamatan din nito si Miss Teen USA 2020 na si Ki’ilani Arruda.

“It’s our pleasure and honor to be part of Miss Teen USA 2020 Ki’ilani Arruda’s journey. As an aspiring dermatologist, we truly value products that make her feel comfortable in her own skin.

“Nagpapasalamat ako kasi alam mo ‘yung beauty queen sa country na nag-post ng ginagamit nilang skin products, everyone follows kung ano ‘yung mga ginagawa nila, di ba? So from there doon kami nakilala (ng husto),” masayang kuwento ng top-rated esthetician sa Amerika.

Halos lahat ng mga nanalo at hindi nanalong sumali sa beauty contest ay nagpupunta sa OSkin Med Spa Los Cerritos Mall, Cerritos, California at nabanggit ang naging pambato ng Pilipinas na si 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray na nakita rin namin sa YouTube channel ni Ms. Olivia.

“Now napili kaming Miss Universe Skin Care for 2020 and Miss Teen USA pareho sila, so gave all the products to them para magamit nila before the big event and they give me feedbacks already,” aniya pa.

Ginanap ang Miss Teen USA noong Nob. 7 at Nob. 9 naman ang Miss USA.

Ang bet ni Ms. Olivia sa Miss USA ay si Miss Louisiana na hawig daw ni Brooke Shields, “Sobrang ganda and very charming ng personality niya and also Miss California rin, we already saw her pictures and the way siya mag-carry herself, I think ‘yun ang mga bet ko sa Miss USA.”

Pero-pareho silang natalo dahil si Miss Mississippi nga ang nakakuha ng title na lalaban sa gaganaping Miss Universe 2020 sa Disyembre.

Bago kumuha ng endorser o mag-sponsor si Ms. Olivia ay anu-anong qualities ang hinahanap niya lalo na ngayong kinuha siya bilang isa sa hurado ng Miss Chile 2020 na gaganapin naman sa Nob. 20?

“First thing that I requested to them is to send me pictures of the girl’s fair skin without make-up para ma-picture-an that’s when I can judge them kung anong meron talaga sa skin nila.

“Because when I do consultations during COVID, that’s what I did sa mga clients ko, they’re send me pictures then from there makikita ko na kaagad kung ano ‘yung skin texture nila saka tone, so pinadalhan nila ako 16 girls sa Miss Chile.

“Medyo nahirapan ako, pero dalawa ‘yung pinagpilian ko na sobrang nahirapan ako, I was looking for good skin, alam mo ‘yung kinakailangan na inalagaan nila ‘yung skin nila na walang mga pigmentation and acne and hindi sila nagtitiris o nage-extract mag-isa sa bahay kasi you can see spots pag ginawa nila ‘yun,” paliwanag niya.

Ano ang experience ni Ms. O sa mga nakatrabaho niyang beauty queens tulad ni Catriona Gray at ang kapapanalong si Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2020 Miss Rabiya Mateo mula sa Iloilo City.

“My thoughts about Rabiya, na-interview ko siya a few weeks before she won, and couple of other girls, 10 sila na in-interview ko. Nag-stood out si Rabiya sa akin pero hindi masyadong nag-stand out at first but then when I was watching her sa pageant itself, there’s something about her nu’ng nasa stage siya, merong charm.

“Nu’ng nag-alaga ako ng Miss Universe 2019, I was able to mingle with 91 delegates and nakita ko and ang dami kong girls na nagandahan sa kanila pero pag nasa stage sila for some reason, meron something na kakaiba sa stage present na ibinibigay ng charm sa kanila when they walk, when they put their evening gowns.

“That’s when, napansin ko na iba pala sa beauty pageant na nakikita mo sila prior and nakikita mo sila actual sa stage. Meron talagang tinatawag na stage presence, yung charm,” kuwento ng beauty expert.

At nang makita naman nito si 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray noong hindi pa ito nananalo, “Kay Catriona Gray, in love na ako the moment I saw her in Atlanta (Georgia) because she wasn’t wearing any make-up, nakaka-in love ‘yung mukha.

“We were going to take the routine regimen niya but prior, pinadalhan ko muna siya ng regimen, Miss Universe package, five items ‘yung nasa loob and I asked her, ‘Catriona, what are the products that you love then I want you to be comfortable when we do the routine regimen.

“So she was able to tell me na, ‘I love your toner, I love your acne moisturizer at saka ‘yung BB glass cream’ siya ‘yung mga products na ilalagay sa kanya at mga products na ginagamit niya at naniniwala siya.

“When we did the film for Catriona Gray without wearing any make-up sobrang ganda ng mukha, very witty and very smart, she was putting her actual regimen.  When you watch the YT video, wala akong sinabing anything na, ‘okay this is how you describe, this is how when you put your toner’ own words niya lahat ‘yun as if para siyang skin care specialist sobrang matalino,” papuri ni Ms. Olivia sa “the one” ni Sam Milby.

At dahil going global na ang mga produkto ng O Skin Med Spa ay ano ang reaksyon ni Ms. Olivia rito?

“Very humbled and very honored na hindi ko expect na mangyayari ‘yun kasi pinagpe-pray ko lang na ‘Lord, I want my products to go global, I don’t know how Lord basta gusto ko maging worldwide.’ Pinag-pray ko ‘yun kasi di ba sabi nga, dream big pero I pray big prayers.

“Two weeks later, may tumawag na kung gusto ko, ako raw ang official skin care of Miss Universe, so nagulat ako kasi kaka-pray ko lang, two weeks later, ibinigay na ng Lord ‘yung opportunity.

“Kasi when I pray na gusto kong maging global, siguro iyon ‘yung way ni Lord kasi sa universe na ‘yan kasi beauty queens are all over the world and promoting may messages during Miss Universe could you imagine, thousand and thousands of messages saying na, ‘how can we buy?  How can we get these products’ kapag may nagpo-post na beauty queen sa kanilang country.  So, talagang na-overwhelmed na ako.

“Never kong in-imagine pero pinagdasal ko sobra.  This was my birthday present (December 3) pa at nangyari ito while filming with Catriona sa Atlanta.”
At dahil sobrang blessed na ni Ms. Olivia ay sine-share rin niya ito dahil halos pawang kababayang Pinoy ang staff niya sa dalawang branches niya sa Amerika.
