Pagdinig sa kinukwestyong Anti-Terrorism Law, pinamamadali ng Makabayan bloc sa SC

Kinalampag ni House Deputy Minority Leader at Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Zarate ang Supreme Court para madaliin ang pagdinig sa constitutionality ng Anti-Terrorism Law.

Iginiit ni Zarate na nalalagay sa alanganin ang buhay at kalayaan ng nakararami lalo na ang kanilang mga miyembro sa patuloy na red-tagging ng National Task Force to End Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

Umaasa naman ang kongresista na papanig ang Supreme Court sa kanilang ipinaglalaban.

Kasunod ito ng paghingi ng proteksyon sa local court sa Iloilo City ni dating Bayan Muna Rep. Siegfred Deduro matapos maakusahan ng militar ng pagiging high-ranking opisyal ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) at New People’s Army (NPA).

Mariin namang kinukundena ni Bayan Muna Rep. Ferdinand Gaite ang banta at surveillance na ginagawa kay Bayan Muna Chairman Neri Colmenares.

Kinuwkestyon din ng mambabatas kung krimen na bang maituturing ang pagiging kritiko at paglalantad sa mga isyung kinakaharap ng administrasyon tulad ng pagiging sunud-sunuran sa China, mga alegayson ng korapsyon sa pamahalaan at paglabag sa karapatang pantao.
