Cassy umamin: I always feel the pressure na I have to be like my mom…

Ervin Santiago - October 14, 2020 - 09:22 AM

First Yaya” with Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez.

“Yung go-to ng mom ko is you can’t please everybody, kasi I think I told her before na growing up nape-pressure ako.

“Kunwari, ‘Ay gusto ko na maging artista, people might see me as okay this is Carmina Villaroel 2.0, so dapat mas bongga ako or something like that.

“Si Mommy kasi, she is very talented na to begin with. She can memorize script so easy, she can envision itong script, okay iiyak ako dito ganyan, okay done!” pahayag ni Cassy sa panayam ng GMA.

Dugtong pa niya, “I always feel the pressure na I have to be like my mom or better than my mom or something pero she will always say that you can’t please everybody, kasi there are people din who don’t like my mom, but she doesn’t really care.

“She only focuses on people who admire her or people who love her and she loves her work naman talaga. She said once you love your work, everything else will just follow, it will be effortless lang,” chika pa ni Cassy.

Ibinahagi naman ng kakambal ni Cassy na si Mavy kung ano ang maituturing niyang best advice na natutunan niya kina Carmina at Zoren Legaspi.
“The one thing that my dad will always say is that be Mavy Legaspi, yun talaga!

“It really says a lot, napakasimple lang talaga di ba? It’s just like be Mavy Legaspi, ano yun?”

“So, ikaw magbibigay ng definition noon, I guess that’s like the number one talaga, somehow parang advice siya ‘be yourself,’ pero at the same time it makes you think na ano ba talaga ang gusto mo,” lahad ng binata.

“Everyone kasi may iba’t ibang silang timpla, so for some people they want to be left alone for some people they want someone to talk to si Mommy gusto niya lambingan.

“If nagpa-panic attack siya or something she’ll always play with the dogs ‘yun ‘yung stress reliever niya.

“So, we give her that time muna with the dogs and then of course we check up on her. So, I think it’s just being there for her din that’s all we do naman,” pagbabahagi ni Cassy.

Para naman kay Mavy, “This just shows na it’s not only these teens or young adults that are anxious of what’s gonna happen in the future.

“But also, the adults, ‘yung mga parents or ‘yung mga middle-aged persons they also think about what’s going to happen in this world, what’s going to happen with their work, with their craft.

“So, siyempre nag-o-over think ka that goes for all, that goes for everyone. I’m sure everyone overthinks,” aniya pa.
