“It’s an MTRCB call, but on the perspective of FDCP all of these platform right now have their own mechanisms for regulation.

“So, may mga controls sila na ginagamit para to make sure na may classification ang panonood ng pelikula,” pahayag ni Liza sa digital mediacon ng pagtatapos ng selebrasyon ng ika-100 taon ng pelikulang Pilipino, dubbed as “Sine Sandaan”.

“Siguro on a very grounded perspective, ang nakikita ko lang talaga na hardship, just in case this will be put in place is madi-delay talaga ang pagpapalabas ng mga pelikula on the platform,” paliwanag ng FDCP chairperson.

Esplika pa niya, “Yung mga ipalalabas ng September halimbawa, all of over the world alam natin na worldwide, September siya ipaplabas, siguro hindi muna siya mapapanood after three months to four months, ‘yun ang nagiging setback, talagang nahuhili sila pagpapalabas ng latest content ng platform na ito.”

Patuloy pa niya, “So, I think, it’s best to revisit and tingnan natin kung ano ba ang value versus the effect also of these kind of regulation.”

THE NEXT 100,” “September marks the official closing of the 100 years of Philippine cinema. Despite the pandemic, the FDCP wanted to ensure that our efforts will meaningfully honor this once-in-lifetime event through various events, activities and programs all year round.

“And as we close Sandaan, we open our ‘NEXT 100’  by launching several initiatives as we look forward to a better, more sustainable and progressive hundred years,” aniya pa.
