INANUNSYO na ng Head ng Star Magic na si Johnny Manahan na pinapayagan na nilang magtrabaho sa ibang TV network ang kanilang talents.
Pero bago pa niya ito sinabi sa isang panayam ay marami na kaming alam na Kapamilya stars na nasa TV5, NET 25 at GMA 7. Wala na kasi silang choice dahil hindi na nga nabigyan ng bagong prangkisa ang ABS-CBN.
Hindi talaga maiiwasang hindi maghanap ng ibang pagkakakitaan ang Star Magic talents sa ibang network lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya. At nagpapasalamat nga ang mga nakakuha kaagad ng trabaho dahil pinagkatiwalaan sila.
Ayon kay Mr. M, “Our artists had already been exploring opportunities in digital space. With the rejection of the franchise, cable and cyberspace became the only venues for network content.
“Almost immediately, instantaneously, advertising revenues began to dry up, projects canceled, contracts suspended.
“And with that, we began to look elsewhere for opportunities for our artists. Talks are currently underway with contacts from Channel 5 (TV5) and Channel 7 (GMA 7).
“We have been talking to our artists via Zoom to reassure them of our unwavering dedication to their professional and personal lives. We are not going the way of the franchise: down the toilet. Never to be seen again. Although depleted, Star Magic will still be around.
“It will be hard, but the new landscape has, in a way, expanded. We should now do away with network wars and help each other in these very hard times,” ani Mr. M.
Naghihintay naman kami ng kumpirmasyon kung gagawa rin ng proyekto sa ibang network sina Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Julia Montes, Enchong Dee, Erich Gonzales, Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo at iba pang prime artists ng Kapamilya network.
Sa kasalukuyan ay hindi naman aalis pa ng Kapamilya network si Coco Martin dahil umeere pa ang “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”. Nananatili pa rin kasing malakas ang serye sa Kapamilya Online/Channels, iWant at YouTube.
Gayun din sina Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado at Sam Milby na malabong mapanood sa ibang istasyon dahil umeere na ang drama series nilang “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.”
Sa pagtatapos ng “Love Thy Woman” ay isa rin kaya si Kim Chiu sa tatanggap ng offers sa ibang network?
Sina Xian Lim at Yam Concepcion ay nasa Viva Artist Agency na kaya open kahit saan sila mapuntang network.
