ISA kami sa naluha habang emosyonal na nagsasalita si Direk FM Reyes sa nakaraang virtual mediacon ng “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” nitong Biyernes.

Ito’y dahil na rin sa mga pinagdaraanan nilang hirap sa taping bukod pa sa naiisip din nila ang mga katrabaho nilang natanggal sa ABS-CBN na resulta ng hindi pagbibigay ng bagong prangkisa ng Kongreso.

Natanong kasi ang direktor kung ano ang mga adjustment nila sa taping at pagbabago ng locations para sa new normal set-up bilang ang nasabing serye ang unang digital series na mapapanood sa Kapamilya Online Live na pinagbibidahan nina Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Cazado, Sam Milby at Maricel Soriano.

“Unang-una, I accepted the story because I was invited of this group, very young group, all of the people in the JRB productions are people I respect their names in the industry.

‘’The first time I read the script, it’s so beautiful, it’s difficult to do but it’s so beautiful. “So, I was kind of devastated kasi parang feeling ko, ang ganda-ganda ng kuwento na iyon kailangan naming i-redo but they surprised me even better kasi pagbalik sa akin (script) after ng ilang brainstorming namin it became better.

“Si Sam kasi parang baby ko na ‘yan kasi dati pa kasi after PBB, ako ‘yung una niyang show sa Maging Sino Ka Man (2006) ilang beses kaming nagtrabaho ni Sam so medyo comfortable na.

“Then, excited ako kasi first day of taping palang, nakita ko na, ‘ah matatalino ang mga ito’ magaling mag isip, clever kasi kapag may ibinigay kang isang bagay, lalo na yang si Maricel Soriano because you have to be very careful with her kasi if you give her, let her memorize the script, you thought it’s just a simple scene and after she does it, mamamangha ka, day 1 you will be moved by her performance,” dagdag pa ni Direk FM.

Nabanggit ding ito ang unang all-Filipino crew na nag-shoot sa ABS-CBN Soundstage facility sa Bulacan habang kainitan ang franchise issue sa Kongreso.

“This is all happening at the height of the franchise issue and then the pandemic. And now as you’ve mentioned, kami yung magtutuloy ng laban sa digital platform,” aniya pa.

Biglang napahinto sa pagsasalita si direk FM sabay sabing, “The fight is not just for us.”

At nangilid na ang mga luha sa mata niya, ‘’For the 11,000 people who lost their jobs. This is our little way of fighting for you.”

Hanggang sa humingi ng sorry ang direktor at sabay yuko, “I’m so thankful sa inyong lahat na um-attend dito dahil bilang miyembro ng mga press, you are our brothers and our sisters in this work, and malaki ang kinalaman ninyo sa naging success ng ABS noong umeere siya sa antenna/free TV.

“And so, I would like to thank you because nandito kayo bilang mga kapatid uli para tulungan kami para ituloy ‘yung kabuhayan namin.

“Hindi madali na papasanin namin lahat ‘tong krus na ito but it makes it easier knowing that if we make it well in this platform, we will be helping a lot of our co-workers to again have our jobs back.”
