Backlog sa COVID-19 test pinatatapos na

KAILANGAN umanong bilis-bilisan ng Department of Health na maubos ang COVID-19 test validation backlog nito upang makita ang totoong kalagayan ng bansa sa nakamamatay na sakit.

Ayon kay Bagong Henerasyon Rep. Bernadette Herrera sa website ng DoH ay 26,420 ang kumpirmadong kaso ng coronavirus disease 2019 sa bansa subalit batay sa tala ng mga testing center ay umabot na ito sa 32,728.

“…. meaning there are around 6,000 yet to be confirmed,” ani Herrera, isang House Deputy Majority Leader.

“The government cannot claim that the curve is being flattened without seeing the actual picture and tackling the backlog in validating COVID-19 cases.”

Ayon kay Herrera masyadong mahalaga na magkaroon ng tamang datos ngayon dahil mas relaxed na ang ipinatutupad na community quarantine.

“There is no way the DOH can provide us a more accurate data on the number of COVID-19 cases in the country if it will not immediately address the gap of confirmed cases versus positive individuals listed by testing centers,” saad ng lady solon.

Iniugnay ng DoH ang delay sa “long and tedious” case ng verification at validation process.

Ang inilalabas na datos umano ng DoH ay huli ng lima hanggang walong araw kaya nakakatakot na may mga nahawa dahil late na lumabas ang resulta.

“The 5 days lag time in confirmed tests could mean hundreds or even thousands of additional cases exist more than are being reported.”
