COVID
NASAWI ang lalaking pasyente ng Covid-19 makaraang tumalon mula sa bintana sa ikatlong palapag ng Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) sa Cebu City kaninang umaga.
Dead on the spot ang biktima, 48, at residente ng Tres de Abril st., Brgy. Labangon, Cebu City, dahil sa mga tinamong sugat sa ulo at katawan. Ayon sa sekyu ng ospital na si Manuel Osorio, nasa ibaba siya ng ospital alas-8:20 nang makita niyang nabasag ang bintana ng isolation room sa ikatlong palapag ng ospital.
Nakita ni Osorio na dumungaw ang lalaking pasyente kaya agad siyang umakyat sa North District Del Mar Building ng pasilidad kung saan naka-confine ang mga nagpositibo sa virus.
“While the witness (Osorno) was outside the said building, he actually saw the victim destroy the glass window of the room where he was isolated together with other confirmed positive Covid patients,” ani Maj. Elisandro Quijano, hepe ng Abellana police station.
Hindi na naabutan ng sekyu ang biktima dahil nakatalon na ito.
Agad namang na-cremate ang katawan ng biktima batay sa utos ng ospital, ani Quijano.
Rumesponde ang mga tauhan ng opisyal sa ospital pero hindi sila hinayaan ng management ng VSMMC na makapasok sa bisinidad upang hindi mahawa ng sakit, dagdag ni Quijano.
