Pagkamatay ng police-doctor pinaiimbestigahan
NANAWAGAN ng isang masusing imbestigasyon ang isang lady solon kaugnay ng pagkamatay ng isang doktor ng Philippine National Police na namatay matapos sumailalim sa disinfection procedure sa isang quarantine facility.
Ayon kay ACT-CIS Rep. Niña Taduran dapat matukoy sa imbestigasyon kung may naganap na kapabayaan o kung mayroong dapat na managot sa pagkamatay ni Doctor-Police Captain Casey Gutierrez.
Dalawang miyembro ng PNP Medical Corps—sina SSF Steve Rae Salamanca at Cpl. Ruinie Toledo, ang dinala sa PNP General Hospital matapos ding mahirapang huminga matapos magpa-disinfect sa quarantine facility sa Philippine Sports Arena.
Namatay si Gutierrez noong Mayo 30, anim na araw makalipas itong ma-disinfect.
“As far as I know, bleach is commonly used as disinfectant. While sodium hypochlorite, the active ingredient of bleach, is a very useful disinfectant, it is a potentially dangerous chemical as well. Extreme caution should be observed when using this chemical,” ani Taduran.
Sinabi ni Taduran na dahil sa panganib na dala ng disinfectants dapat ay matukoy kung sumunod sa pamantayan ng Department of Health ang ginagamit sa PhilSports.
“Every life matters. We don’t want to lose our frontliners, especially in this battle against Covid-19. If there’s a lapse in the observance of health protocols and failure to protect Gutierrez and the other frontliners at Philsports Arena, someone should be answerable for this tragedy,” dagdag pa ni Taduran.
