Hanggang walang bakuna, dapat walang klase– solon

DAPAT umanong ipagpaliban ang pasok sa mga eskuwelahan hanggang walang bakuna laban sa coronavirus disease 2019.

Ito ang laman ng House Resolution 876 na inihain ni House Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales Jr., na ipinadala sa Defeat Covid-19 Committee na pinamumunuan nina Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano at Majority Leader Martin Romualdez.

Ayon kay Gonzales bagamat kasama sa plano ng Education sector ang pagsasagawa ng distance learning o online learning hindi ito posible sa maraming probinsya dahil sa mahinang telecommunication signal.

Kahit na umano sa mga urban areas ay may mga lugar na mahina ang signal at internet connectivity.

“Face-to-face classes would have to held conducted sooner than later if we want our children to learn. And here lies the problem, since it would be hard to require physical distancing in classrooms, especially in public schools, where a class is composed of no fewer than 40 students,” ani Gonzales.

“With the growing Covid-19 threat which is still present and imminent to the safety of our citizens, especially our children, it is imperative that we take all precautions and preventive actions to protect our people from the disease.”

Ang nais ni Gonzales ay suspendihin ang klase sa lahat ng baitang mula preschool hanggang kolehiyo at technical vocational schools.

Nauna ng sinabi ng Department of Education na magsisimula ang klase sa Agosto 24
