PSG tiniyak ang kaligtasan ni Duterte sa harap ng mga banta sa kanyang buhay

TINIYAK ng Presidential Security Group (PSG) ang kaligtasan ni Pangulong Duterte sa harap naman ng sunod-sunod na nag-aalok sa social media ng pabuya kapalit ng buhay ng presidente.

“The Presidential Security Group (PSG) ensures the safety of the President and the seat of government at all times, and at all costs. This mandate encompasses not only physical protection but also grave threats coming from the cyber environment,” sabi ng PSG sa isang pahayag.

Idinagdag ng PSG na batid nito na maging ang digital media ay ginagamit na rin para pagbantaan ang buhay ni Duterte.

“As such, PSG will continuously work with the law enforcement agencies, such as the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Philippine National Police (PNP), to monitor and apprehend those who are responsible for such acts,” ayon pa sa PSG.

Ilang indibidwal na ang inaresto dahil sa pagbabanta sa pangulo sa social media na kung saan maaari silang maharap sa mga kasong inciting sedition at grave threats, ayon pa sa PSG.

“As we fight this pandemic, may we choose to utilize social media platforms to make useful contributions and not violate any law in expressing personal views and opinions. PSG will not take lightly any threat made to the President and his family. Anyone who violates will be held liable and will be dealt with in accordance with the law. PSG also recognizes and appreciates all concerned netizens who made valuable contributions in protecting the President, and the nation as a whole,” dagdag ng PSG.
