Fil-Am pasok na sa Top 7 ng Americal Idol; Pinay na nanay naiyak

MAIYAK-IYAK ang nanay ng Fil-Am singer na si Francisco Martin matapos ang performance nito sa singing search na Americal Idol ngayong araw (Philippine time).

Isang Filipina immigrant sa US ang ina ni Francisco, at hindi nga nito napigilan ang kanyang emosyon nang bigyan siya ng madamdaming Mother’s Day message ng anak.

Pasok na sa Top 7 si Francisco, at matapos nga ang kanyang back-to-back performance sa nakaraang episode, mismong ang mga judge ng AI ang nagsabi na dapat lang siyang makarating sa final round. 

Kinanta niya ang hit ni Leon Bridges na “River” for Mother’s Day at ang classic ni Phil Collins na “You’ll Be In My Heart” mula sa pelikulang “Tarzan” para naman sa Disney Night.

After mag-perform ng binata, agad lumapit sa kanya ang ina at niyakap siya sabay sabing, “I love you, baby.”

Ayon sa mga judges ng American Idol, deserving siya na mapunta s top spot ng competition. 

“This set of Mother’s Day songs is really separating the pack, it’s showing who deserves that top position,” comment ni Katy Perry.

“You are making it difficult for the other contestants because that performance was so soulful and beautiful and real. It was so heartfelt what you just did,” dagdag pa ng AI judge.

Sabi naman ng isa pang hurado na  si Bryan, “I think he beat the actual record.” He went on: “We have heard that song so many times that, man, from the first note, I would buy that right now, that performance.”

Ito naman ang komento ni Lionel Richie, “The thing I love the most is your confidence is front and center, you’re no longer in your head.”

Dugtong pa niya, “Congratulations because you have a career and that’s what’s most important, and we saw it happen here on American Idol.”

Magaganap ang American Idol Season Finale sa May 18.
