Boyet de Leon nag-donate na ng plasma para sa COVID-19 patients
TUWANG-TUWA ang award-winning veteran actor na si Christopher de Leon matapos makapag-donate ng “plasma” sa isang private hospital kahapon.
Isa si Boyet sa mga local celebrities na tinamaan ng COVID-19 na kalaunan ay gumaling din matapos sumailalim sa ilang araw na gamutan.
Kaya para naman makatulong sa ibang COVID-19 patients, pumayag ang aktor na mag-donate ng plasma sa St. Luke’s Global, Taguig City.
Ayon sa American Red Cross website, ang plasma mula sa mga gumaling na pasyente ay maaaring makatulong sa mga nag-positive, “People who have fully recovered from COVID-19 have antibodies in their plasma that can attack the virus.
“This convalescent plasma is being evaluated as treatment for patients with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections, or those judged by a healthcare provider to be at high risk of progression to severe or life-threatening disease.”
Kinailangan munang sumailalim sa isang procedure si Boyet bilang fully recovered patient bago siya pinayagang mag-donate ng dugo.
Sa kanyang Instagram account, ipinost ng asawa ni Boyet na si Sandy Andolong ang litrato ng aktor habang nasa kanyang hospital bed pagkatapos siyang kunan ng dugo.

Kung matatandaan, kahit walang recent travel history sa labas ng bansa, tinamaan pa rin ng killer virus si Christopher.
Ilang araw siyang na-confine sa ospital at makalipas ang isang linggo, pinayagan na rin siyang mag-self-quarantine sa bahay.
