NAGPAALALA ang Department of Education sa mga guro at iba pang empleyado nito na huwag isangla o gawing kolateral ang kanilang ATM card.
Sa Office Memorandum na inilabas ng DepEd, sinabi nito na pinaaga ng ahensya ang pagpapalabas ng suweldo ng mga kawani nito para sa buwan ng Marso at Abril.
Ibinalik din ng DepEd ang ikinaltas nito sa sahod ng mga guro para sa pagbabayad ng mga utang nito.
“With the additional cash credited to the ATM accounts of the employees, this Department reiterates its advise against the use of their individual ATM Payroll Card as collateral for loans or engaging in the ATM Sangla scheme,” saad ng DepEd.
Ipinagbabawal din umano ito sa ilalim ng Terms and conditions fro Accreditation sa ilalim ng Automatic Payroll Deduction System.
“ATM Card pawning has been noted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as a dangerous scheme for it exposes borrowers to identity theft and unauthorized use of personal date possibly for unlawful activities. Also, BSP funds that this practice unduly promotes over-indebtedness.”
