Sharon aabot na sa P10M ang donasyon; Lea nahirapang ka-duet si Regine

SUCCESSFUL ang online/digital fund-raising event ni Regine Velasquez para sa Bantay Bata Foundation last Saturday. Nakalikom sila ng mahigit P4 million na donasyon mula sa mga viewers.

    Tuwang-tuwa naman ang Asia’s Songbird when she found out na nag-donate sa kanyang “One Night With Regine” concert si Megastar Sharon Cuneta ng tumataginting na isang milyong piso.

   Prior to this, proud din na ipinost ni Angel Locsin na nag-donate si Mega sa fundraiser nila ni Neil Arce which aims to build tents para sa mga health workers sa iba’t ibang  hospitals.

   Bukod diyan, tinulungan din ni  Mega na makapagpiyansa ang mga nakulong na Pinoy pagkatapos mag-rally sa Kyusi.

   Mahigit P300,000 ang ibinayad ni Mega na pampiyansa sa ilang mga nahuling nag-rally na nanawagan sa local government para sa ayuda. This happened  after her daughter Frankie Pangilinan, offered help na sagutin ang piyansa ng isa sa mga nahuli.

   Ilan pa lang yan sa mga nabalitang tulong ni Mega. Hindi natin alam baka may iba pang mga nagpa-fundraising diyan ang binigyan niy ng financial help.

   Hindi kami magugulat kung umabot na sa mahigit P10 million ang perang nai-donate ni Sharon  para sa mga naapektuhan ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Naging special guest naman ni Regine sa nasabing concert si Lea Salonga. Nag-duet sila sa mga kantang “I Don’t Know How To Love Him,” “What I Did For Love” at “Someone Like You.”

Mensahe ni Lea, “First of all, Regine, happy, happy birthday! I hope that it’s been a wonderful celebration for you, so far.

“Singing with you was hard, but because it was your birthday, and because you asked, as in ikaw mismo yung nag-request that I sing this with you, I couldn’t say ‘no.’

“It’s your birthday request. So, my God! It’s hard to sing with you but I mean that only in the best way!”

Pagpapatuloy pa ni Lea, “You still sound the way you always did. But because of what you’ve been through in life, there’s so much color to your interpretations, and to your vocal quality, and to just everything about you.

“You are one of the funniest people that I know. You have, one of the most amazing voices that I’ve heard. And I don’t think that things are gonna stop for you. So, I hope that the day has been fantastic,” dagdag pa ng Broadway star.

After mag-flying kiss nag-dialogue pa si Lea ng, “I love you, and the next time you and I sing together again, it should be in person, with full-on glam, and full-on gowns… in a much bigger venue than this. Talking concert hall, stadium, an arena. Something. And it will be fun.”
