10% tapyas sa non-essential expenses ng gobyerno suportado sa Kamara

SUPORTADO ni AnaKalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor ang pagbawas ng 10 porsyento sa budget ng mga non-essential expenses ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno.

Ayon kay Defensor tama ang Department of Budget and Management na bawasan ang pondo na gugugulin sa biyahe, seminars, pagkain sa labas at entertainment.

“I think the DBM can effect bigger mandatory savings. The enhanced community quarantine that is already on its 38th day today is naturally preventing most agencies from spending a large part of their operating funds since they are closed. That is money unspent that we can use in the fight against Covid-19,” ani Defensor.

Makabubuti umano na gastusin ang limitadong budget ng gobyerno sa mga mahahalagang bagay.

Sa isang Memorandum Circular na ipinalabas ni DBM Secretary Wendel Avisado inanunsyo na 35 porsyento ng mga programmed appropriations ngayong taon ay hindi na maaaring gamitin. Ito ay bukod pa sa pagbawas ng 10 porsyento sa mga non-essential expenses.

Nauna rito hiniling ni Defensor ang pagpapataw ng 20 porsyentong mandatory savings sa pondo para sa biyahe (nagkakahalaga ng P19.4 bilyon), training at scholarship (P32.9 bilyon), supplies and materials (P108.3 bilyon), representation, or dining out and entertainment by officials and their guests (P5.2 bilyon).
