PhilHealth pwedeng humingi ng pondo sa gobyerno kung…
MAAARI umanong humingi sa gobyerno ang Philippine Health Insurance Company kung kukulangin ang pondo nito kapag sinagot ang lahat ng gastusin sa ospital ng isang pasyente na nahawa ng coronavirus disease 2019.
Ito ang sinabi ni Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito Castelo kasabay ang panawagan sa PhilHealth na bayaran ang lahat ng hospital bill ng mga COVID-19 patients.
“It is the poor and senior citizens who will not be able to pay for the excess cost of treatment,” ani Castelo.
Nilimita ng PhilHealth sa hanggang P43,997 ang babayaran nito para sa mga may mild pneumonia, P143,267 sa moderate pneumonia, P333,519 sa severe pneumonia, at P786,384 sa critical pneumonia.
Batay sa pag-aaral, limang porsyento ng mga nahawa ng COVID-19 ay mayroong severe at critical pneumonia.
“PhilHealth can seek additional funds from the national government and Congress if it is in danger of running short of money for helping Covid-19 patients.”
Noong una ay sinabi ng PhilHealth na sagot nito ang lahat ng gastos ng COVID-19 patient subalit makalipas ang ilang araw ay naglabas ito ng listahan ng limit ng kanilang babayaran.
