P370B stimulus package uunahin ng Kamara

GAGAWING prayoridad ng Kamara de Representantes ang pagpasa ng P370 bilyong economic stimulus package sa pagbubukas ng sesyon sa Mayo 4.

Ayon kay House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez inatasan siya ni Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano na agad na ipasa ang stimulus package na naglalayong tulungan ang mga maliliit na negosyo para maiwasan na magtanggal ng empleyado ang mga ito.

Sa online hearing noong Martes, napagkasunduan ng mga kongresista na balangaksin na ang mga panukalang stimulus package para mapabilis ang pag-apruba nito.

 “We are really happy, it’s a good start para kahit break hindi tayo nagmumukmok. Tayo ay nagta-trabaho. Ginagawa natin ang lahat dahil dapat walang magugutom at wala rin dapat na mawawalan ng trabaho,” ani Romualdez. “We are already doing everything we can to fast-track so that when we are supposed to resume on May 4, we will hit the ground running.”

Ang economic stimulus package ay binuo ng Economic stimulus cluster na binubuo nina House committee on economic affairs chairperson at AAMBIS-OWWA Rep. Sharon Garin, House committee on ways and means chairman at Albay Rep. Joey Sarte Salceda, at Marikina City Rep. Stella Luz Quimbo.

“Ang layunin ng House bill na ito ay palakasin ang ekonomiya, siguraduhin na walang magsara na negosyo lalo na ang mga maliliit,” ani Quimbo sa panukalang “Economy Moving Forward as One Act”. Ang pinakamahalagang layunin [nito] ay para masiguradong walang mawawalan ng trabaho at mababawasan ang kita.”
