AFP golf course ibenta pampondo sa kampanya vs COVID-19–solon

UPANG may magamit na pera sa mga pangangailangan sa paglaban sa coronavirus disease 2019, ipinanukala ni Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman na ibenta ang mga golf course ng mga sundalo.

Ayon kay Lagman maaaring ibenta ang gold course sa Camp Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Villamor Air Base at Veterans Memorial Medical Center.

Ang tatlong golf courses ay may kabuuang 150 hektaryang lupa at dahil nasa prime location ang mga ito ay aabot umano sa P150 bilyon ang halaga nito.

Ang 18-hole Camp Aguinaldo golf course ay bahagi ng 178.78 hektaryang Camp Aguinaldo na nasa EDSA, C-5 at katabi ng mga mamahaling subdivision na White Plains, Corinthian Gardens, and Green Meadows.

Ang Villamor Golf Course ay bahagi naman ng 60 hektaryang Villamor Air Base na katabi ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport at Resorts World Complex at malapit sa Makati Central Business District.

Ang 18-hole gold course ng Veteran’s ay nasa loob ng 55-hektaryang Veterans Memorial Medical Center na nasa kanto ng Mindanao Avenue at North Avenue sa Quezon City.

Noong 1992, isinapribado ang 240 hektaryang Fort Bonifacio kasama ang 8-hole championship golf course nito. Ibinenta ito sa halagang P333,283.88 kada metro kuwadrado.

Ang 25 hektarya naman ng Villamor Air Base ay isnapribado rin makalipas ang ilang taon at ngayon naririto ang Newport City.

“There are many more hectares of military camps and other civilian government lands nationwide which could be tapped for privatization, including those owned by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) which are not utilized or undeveloped.”
