ISANG libong pisong ayuda ang gustong ipamahagi ni Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda sa mga Pilipinong apektado ng enhanced community lockdown dahil sa banta ng COVID-19 maliban na lang sa mga nasa ‘top 10 percent’.
Ani Salceda, na chairman ng House committee on ways and means, pasok ito sa Universal Basic Income (UBI) na kanyang prinopose sa Inter-Agency Task Force noong March 19.
Sa ayudang ito, hindi lang low-income earners ang makikinabang kundi pati na rin ang mga middle class.
“Essentially, you distribute 1,000 to 2,000 pesos per head. Bale ang eligibility lang po, basta Pilipino ka at hindi ka mayaman, makakatanggap ka ng tulong.” paliwanag ni Salceda.
Sa nationwide address ni Pangulong Duterte, binaggit nya ang sulat sa kanya ni Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla kung saan nakiusap itong bigyan ding pansin ang mga middle class workers.
