Magsasaka na ayaw umanong mag-face mask, nag-amok, binaril, patay
NASAWI ang isang magsasaka na ayaw umanong mag-face mask nang barilin ng pulis sa isang quarantine checkpoint sa Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, Huwebes ng umaga.
Dead on arrival sa ospital si Junie Dongog Piñar, 63, matapos barilin ni SSgt. Rolly Llones, ng Nasipit Police, ayon kay Caraga regional police director Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel.
Naganap ang insidente sa barangay community control point (BCCP) ng Brgy. Amontay.
“Piñar… was reported to have gone amuck and harassed personnel manning the established BCCP using a sharp bladed weapon,” sabi ni Esquivel sa isang kalatas.
Lumabas sa imbestigasyon na bago ang insidente, sinita ng isang barangay health worker sa checkpoint si Piñar dahil sa hindi pagsusuot ng facemask.
Ikinagalit umano ito ni Piñar, kaya nagbitaw ng maaanghang na salita ang magsasaka at sinugod ng karit ang mga nagtse-checkpoint.
“The suspect got angry, uttered provoking words, and eventually attacked the personnel using a scythe,” ani Esquivel.
Rumesponde sa naturang lugar si Llones at sinubukang mamagitan, pero maging siya’y sinugod ni Piñar kaya niya ito binaril, ayon sa police official.
