Hirit ng netizen sa paghingi ng donasyon ni Pia: Di ba marami ka ng pera?

DIRETSAHANG sinagot ni 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach ang isang netizen na nagkomento tungkol sa ginagawa niyang pagtulong sa panahon ng krisis.

Sa halip na mapikon at ma-bad trip sa netizen ay marespeto pa rin niya itong sinagot kahit na may halong pang-ookray ang comment nito.

Nag-post kasi ang beauty queen-actress sa Instagram ng update tungkol sa panawagan niyang donasyon sa pamamagitan ng online page na GoGetFunding.

Ang makokolekta nilang pondp ay ilalaan para makabili ng medical face masks na ipamamahagi sa frontliners na nagbubuwis ng buhay  ngayon dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Ani Pia, nagkakaroon ng kaunting problema sa GoGetFunding page, “Hi guys! There seems to be a glitch in the system and we’ve been getting feedback that some donations are not going through in the GoGetFunding page.

“But don’t worry, we set up alternate methods where you can make your donations. Please swipe left or see the details below,” paniniguro pa ng dalaga.

Sa comment section ng IG post ng Kapamilya actress, may isang nagtanong kung bakit hindi na lang niya gamitin ang sarili niyang pera para makabili agad ng mga dapat i-donate sa mga nangangailangan.

“Di ba madami kana po pera? Back apan mo nalang Ms. PIA TOTAL tinangkilik naman ng mamamayan mga inendorso mo… For sure million bayad nila sayo bawasan mo na lang pls. HIRAP na ang Pinas,” ang hirit ng netizen.

Ang reply naman sa kanya ni Pia, “Hiwalay pa po diyan yung galing po sa akin mismo.”

Nauna rito, nagpasalamat si Pia sa lahat ng bayaning healthcare workers, “I’d like to first say thank you to all our frontliners who put their lives at risk to serve and care for all of us. Maraming maraming salamat po. We also know that the number of cases are still rising and that families are worried more and more about putting food on the table. Watching and hearing about it in the news everyday, it can be overwhelming.

“I’m very grateful that I am able to stay at home.. but it got me wondering.. what can I do to help? How do I make myself useful at this time? So I decided to just try something. I tried looking for suppliers myself, starting with medical masks. And I found a few. I placed an order of 5,000 masks to be donated to our frontliners and I received them the next day. It made me realize, kung gusto mo talaga, may paraan.

“And then I thought, what if I had more? What if we could give more? Kulang pa ito.. And this is where I need your help, guys. With the help of my friends, I’ve started an online fundraising campaign to provide 25,000 medical masks to our frontliners in different hospitals around Metro Manila. I know this may not sound like alot, but it’s a start. I can’t do this alone. Tulong tulong po tayong makatulong.
