Pondo sa biyahe ng gov’t officials pinababawasan

UPANG matiyak na hindi na pipiliting ubusin ang pondo para sa mga biyahe pagkatapos ng problema sa coronavirus disease 2019, nais ni AnaKalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor na lagyan ng cap ni Pangulong Duterte ang paggastos nito.

Bukod sa panggastos sa biyahe, pwede rin umanong lagyan ng 10 porsyentong cap ang mga panggastos sa seminar at iba pang non-essential expenses ng gobyerno.

Nagkakahalaga ng P1.6 trilyon ang maintenance and other operating expenses ng gobyerno ngayong taon at ang 10 porsyentong cap ay nangangahulugan ng P160 bilyong savings.

“We can use the money to buy badly needed personal protective equipment items for our frontline health workers or as subsidy to the poor who are forced to stay home,” ani Defensor.

Kabilang sa mga non-essential items sa MOOE ay travel (P19.4 bilyon), training and scholarship (P32.9 bilyon), supplies and materials (P108.3 bilyon), at representation, or dining out and entertainment by officials and their guests (P5.2 bilyon).

Maaari rin umanong tapyasan ang communication expenses (P10.7 bilyon), pagkuha ng mga consultants (P29 bilyon), advertising (P3 bilyon), subscription (P4.1 bilyon), donations (P41.8 bilyon), printing and publication (P1.9 bilyon), at membership dues and contributions to organizations (P2.4 bilyon).

Kung kukulangin ay pwede rin umanong galawin ang pambili ng sasakyan (P4.1 bilyon), pagtatayo ng mga gusali (P99 bilyon), pagbili ng mga bagong furniture and fixtures (P603 milyon), at mga bagong machinery at equipment (P67.9 bilyon).
