Peace Adviser hinirang bilang COVID-19 czar
HINIRANG ni Pangulong Duterte si Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. bilang Chief Implementer ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) kontra coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Kinumpirma ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea ang pagkakatalaga kay Galvez.
“Yes. He was designated as Chief Implementer of the IATF against COVID-19,” sabi ni Medialdea.
Idinagdag ni Medialdea na bilang Chief Implementer, inatasan si Galvez na tiyakin ang mahigpit na pagsunod ng lahat sa mga patakaran at protocol na ipinalabas ng IATF.
He was further tasked to protect and promote the safety and welfare of the public at all times, and ensure the efficient and expeditious distribution of government assistance to the public, with particular attention to our citizens who are in most need,” dagdag ni Medialdea.
Bago nagretiro, nagsilbi si Galvez bilang Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
